October 2025 — Case Study Outline: Dermatology Client in Phoenix

Client Background

Our client is a Phoenix-based dermatologist offering medical, surgical, and cosmetic services, including Mohs surgery. He brought on a new physician in the fall and needed to quickly attract new patients to fill her schedule. We were hired to redesign his website and optimize it for both SEO and AEO, and to run a Google Ads campaign to bring in new leads.

The Challenge

The main challenge was to establish the new physician's patient base quickly. The client had a $6,000 monthly budget for Google Ads, and we aimed to attract patients searching for a dermatologist in general, not just by the doctor’s name. We also wanted to overcome the initial SEO challenges that come with launching a new site.

The Solution

We launched the redesigned website on August 4th. Despite the usual initial dip that comes with a brand-new domain or design, we saw organic traffic begin to pick up steadily. In just under three months, about 57% of his traffic is now coming organically, while nearly 20% is from the paid search campaign.

On the paid ads side, we started the campaign at the end of September. In just a month, with a $6,000 budget, the client received about 3,350 clicks and 74,000 impressions, with an average cost per click of $1.62. The cost per conversion is about $28.09, and he’s had about 230 conversions total from the ads.

The Results

Even though it’s early days for SEO, we’re already seeing improvements. According to Ahrefs data, his average ranking position has moved from around 12.2 last year to about 8.5 now, which is a great early sign.

The real standout so far is the paid ads performance. The client is thrilled with the volume of new patient inquiries—230 conversions in just one month is a strong start.
